Amari Books & Gifts is a unique business designed
around a special certain niche market. Amari Books was
formed as a result of a need to fill a void that is not
being addressed by the major book chains.
After years of unsuccessfully searching for products in
local stores, it became apparent that a vast range of
African American products are available, but not
promoted or provided by the stores in a wide area
covering five counties in Southern California. The same
void exists in rural areas and foreign countries as
well. These areas have millions of customers who have a
great appreciation for African American products.
The company was founded in February 2003 in Buena Park,
California and immediately extended its customer base up
to Central California. This customer base is also
expanding into rural areas as well as foreign markets.
We are purveyors of African American Books, Calendars,
Journals, Day Planners, Greeting Cards, Etc. Our target
market is the African American community, however our
products and customers are not limited to African
Americans. We are also expanding our business to reach
the Hispanic community as well.
We provide a unique service, by personal shopping for
customers. Most customers are not aware of the vast
number of African American authors writing about a wide
variety of subjects. Our products also feature those by
authors of various nationalities that write about
African Americans and/or subjects that interest African
Americans.
We handle special requests for Military Service Persons
and those incarcerated.
